As time has past, I can’t believe my website is approaching the fourth year, and even such a short period, there were a lot of going on, a lot of great ups and down happened since my job, the AI “Master” degree, and my current self study and open source contribution journey. The blog has been recording many of my moment, like happily sharing a new track or a new projects, or being frustrated on many sh*tty advice or events.
Though, there are some posts I considered as pretty bad since they are badly written and it is no longer relevant, while I don’t think those posts help for many people in any ways, so I am going to remove them with some explanation.
Illogical Moments
Originally, I had planned a series just to share something big and small, something random happened about my life, but this series have ended up horrible since I ended up only sharing frustrations, announcing a short break from the community. It is not wrong that we should take some break from time to time, but this sounds a bit unprofessional for my blog format since the original intention of my blog is about SunVox, Music and Programming, but the the whole “Illogical Moments” should be something a bit more private and casual, which it doesn’t fit to the theme of my blog. Besides, there was a point of time that my very old post about leaving the community temporary had became one of the top searches, and it was hugely outdated since… I am still here writing and sharing stuff!
Thus, I have to set these posts as private since not only this fits better to my website, but the audience will also be less confused when they search my stuff on the search engines.
Hustle Cult?
During my “Master” degree, I was hugely frustrated to all those meaningless hustles which it require us to do so much unnecessary just to pass some arbitrary rules set by the assignment, derailed from the usual industrial and occupational practice; yet, they keep telling us to be “resilient” and some big and small “mindset” that is unrealistic in a practical: “Always pick the hard choice while the definition of hard choice is questionable”, “Demand for ‘Growth’ mindset yet give you fixed time slot with full of arbitrary restrictions”, “Hard skills is useless”, and etc.
Advice needs contexts, but most of them are either over simplified and being used in a wrong context, and I abhor that because they are usually misleading to a way that are harmful, and that was the reason why I have written the series; nevertheless, I have found that series doesn’t really fit my blog, while some of my examples are not well written, so I decided to remove them, and even if I want to post these articles, I shall seek places other than my blog. Perhaps, bluesky or mastodon although I have no plan to return these platforms.
More General Reasons
Other than not fitting my original blog theme, the atmosphere around the web is also unhealthy. I understand that there are so much happening around the world recently, and there are a lot of depressing events happened all around us, especially the griefing AI has done to the us who like to write programs and music for fun, the on going wars, and bad economy everywhere, but… should I be yet another pissed off person, ranting and venting anything on my website? I understand we need to express our thoughts, but I don’t want my blog sounding just like a wall of rant, making it appearing like yet another doomer ranting spot in the internet since I don’t really do that in reality and many things are not as doomed (despite rough) as we have seen in other contents.
Thus, it’s the time to make a change to my blog, by removing all those blog posts that is not a good fit here, and I wish I could not only shift my focus to my blog back to SunVox, Music and Programming, but also try to make people getting motivated to make art in this tough AI era.
My old posts? I will reintroduce them in other ways, perhaps in other platforms as well, but I need some time to make consideration.
