Studying AI stuff, and one part of it is Logic, and man, I just found I am really bad at this…
The “and or not” stuff are easy because it is used in everywhere; from state machine to computer, there must be some form of logic gates that does the similar. Logical and bitwise operators? I have used them all the time without any problems; otherwise, I would not able to build a computer in SunVox or even being a software dev.
However, it is always the Logical Implication gets me, especially when it is deeply nested within a bunch of parenthesizes lumped with the “Every” or “There is” symbols, I always have a hard time to parse the meaning of those stream of operators. I don’t really understand why when a condition is not met, the result happened anyway, is true… Isn’t that simply irrelevant to the condition?
I think this is also a good time for me to make an important announcement after my deep frustration on the first order logic and my Prolog assignment. My artist name Logickin has been in a questionable state for a long time, and I have been wondering whether I should keep it or not. The origin of the name was to mock people who have dunning effect, claiming themselves wise or smart or literary, Logical, yet they have failed to prove it by their actions. The meaning behind the name is actually… pretty negative, a bad PR to be honest. There was a point of time, I attempted to positively change the meaning by defining it as my goal, my vision so that this can motivates me to learn for life; however, this act has a serious flaw: I am not only just focus on logical thinking, or doing logical stuff, but also on some other qualities and skills. In consequence, my values started to derail from the word “Logickin”, and it doesn’t feel relatable anymore.
For the reasons above, I am about to change my artist name. I do have a couple of ideas come in mind, but I haven’t made a decision which icons or name would be used.
I will make another announcement once I have made my final decision on my new artist name, so stay tune, and soar beyond!
Update: Good News!!! I have great progress for my prolog assignment once I have understand how recursion works, and I am very proud of one of my solutions which seems my approach is very optimized! However, I won’t retreat my rebranding decision because it has been a plan long ago and prolog really reminds me of this, so stay tune!
